The Van T’s get set to dominate the airwaves again with powerful new single ‘Control’.

‘Control’ (out now via Big Indie Records and listen below), is another sucker punch of a single from The Van T’s. The Glasgow quartet – Chloe Van Thompson (vocals, guitar), Hannah Van Thompson (vocals, guitar), Joanne Forbes (bass) and Shaun Hood (drums) – have become pretty adept at drip feeding us staggeringly brilliant tracks over the past few years and this one is no exception.

‘Control’ is all thrumming, buzzing guitars and pumping drums, layered with the Van Thompson twins’ uniquely vehement vocal harmonies. It’s short and sweet, coming to an end in just under two and a half minutes, meaning that you’ll quickly be cueing it up – and turning it up – to play again. This is the perfect blend of hazy psychedelia and crunching grunge rock that echoes through your head until your skin tingles. It’s addictive stuff.

The band’s award-winning live performance has previously earned them festival slots at Live At Leeds, TRNSMT and Communion Festival and they’ve supported the likes of The Jesus and Mary Chain, Wolf Alice, Honeyblood and Sunflower Bean. The Van T’s are set to dominate festival season again this year, starting with an appearance on Wednesday 8 May 2019 at London’s Two Tribes Brewery in association with Big Indie Big Nights. They will also be returning to Brighton’s Great Escape Festival in May, as well as supporting Foo Fighters at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow on 17 August 2019.

On ‘Control’ the Van Thompson twins sing “take it all, it’s yours” and we’ll happily take all we can get right now from The Van T’s.
